1st Modcloth Purchase

And proud of it.  My friend Natalie gave me a gift certificate for my birthday to Modcloth and I was itching to spend it.  I had heard of the site before but never perused it carefully until now.  I’m not going to lie, I’m not a big online shopper.  I’m the type of person that needs to see, feel and try on things before I buy them.  I ended up finding a ton of cute items I could see myself wearing this Spring and Summer and at one point had 11 pages open with items to look at more closely.  Talk about overwhelming!   Finally, after narrowing it down to 2-3 choices I took out a list I had made a few days earlier of wardrobe items I want/need for the Summer.  The list looks something like this:

  • flat brown dress shoes
  • flat black dress shoes
  • high waist shorts
  • nice fitting jeans (always on my list because I despise shopping for jeans)
  • poofy skirt
  • thick brown belt
  • nude pumps

I know you’re dying to know what I got….drum roll please….!

I got a pair of these high waist shorts.  They are priced at $29.99, minus my $25 giftcard plus the $7 flat rate shipping I ended up only paying $11.99 for these cuties.  I ordered them in a medium but sadly had to return them for a size large.  I had read in multiple reviews that their clothes run small.  I should have listened, but I so wanted to believe I could fit into the medium pair.  Wahh, wahh…

On a happier note, my list now looks like this:

  • flat brown dress shoes
  • flat black dress shoes
  • high waist shorts
  • nice fitting jeans (always on my list because I despise shopping for jeans)
  • poofy skirt
  • thick brown belt
  • nude pumps

    1. You just made my day. You’re the very first comment ever on my blog, as you can see I’m just getting it off the ground. Thank you so much for the compliment! I was debating on whether I should change it, but now I will keep it.
